To further implement the innovation-driven development strategy, better leverage the guiding, supporting, and incentive role of intellectual property (IP) in innovative development, and drive enterprises to enhance their core competitiveness and strive for leadership in the industry, in accordance with the spirit of the Notice of the Municipal Government on Issuing the Suzhou Enterprise Intellectual Property Peak-Climbing Action Plan (2017-2020) (Suzhou Government Document No. 44 [2017]), 10 enterprises including Suzhou Oriental Semiconductor Co., Ltd. are hereby determined as the project-implementing enterprises for the 2020 Enterprise Intellectual Property Peak-Climbing Action Plan, following standardized procedures such as organized application, recommendation by district/county-level authorities, expert review, on-site defense, credit verification, and public announcement.

Leveraging patent big data resources, the “Peak-Climbing Action Plan” guides enterprises to conduct global patent information analysis on key technologies and generic technologies in the industrial fields of their innovative development. This analysis helps clarify technology development paths, trends, and breakthrough points, enabling enterprises to allocate innovation resources scientifically and rationally. On this basis, enterprises organize R&D efforts to tackle and break through technical bottlenecks. With a market-oriented approach, they build high-quality and high-value foundational patents and patent portfolios, develop intellectual property (IP) advantages, and eliminate IP-related obstacles and risks for climbing to the top of the industry at the national and even global levels.
